The Importance of Transformation

“We wear masks to hide from others; we wear masks to hide from Self. Hoping no one dares to spy, inside our lonely wounded shell.”

When we are born onto this planet, we forget everything we know about ourselves, about our source. We acquire deep imprinting as children through circumstances that are beyond our control at a vulnerable stage. We struggle with these imprints and they shape our lives. Eventually we start identifying with this struggle and call it our “personality”. We build rigid structures within our psyche around these imprinted wounds to protect the damaged parts of our hearts. We use different things as crutches for them, perhaps acquiring wealth, attention, various addictions, fortifying our egos, anything to delay being overwhelmed by the painful keening of our repressed souls. We lived in this survival mode for many years, all our energy went in to staying afloat and keeping the walls up instead of evolving. We were under assault, and everyone was taught that “this is just how life is”. We did what we had to do to keep from drowning in the abyss – but no longer. These are times of accelerating change.

If we want to evolve this planet and help speed up its ascension to create kind of world our hearts long for, we have to transform ourselves first and foremost. This requires taking an honest look at our motivations and underlying issues then stripping away each layer like an onion peel, until we get to the darkest, most “scary” parts of ourselves in the shadows of our subconscious. Our subconscious seems huge and frightening when it’s in the dark. When we shine a light and reveal the damage, it can look ugly and twisted in some parts of our psyches at first, and it’s tempting to turn away and deny what we see and feel to submerge it back into the depths of our oblivion. If we do this, we miss out on treasures that would be revealed, the healing, the beauty, the hidden talents, passions, and gifts hidden in our subconscious are absolutely amazing and just waiting for you to discover them. These buried gems long for you to find them and bring them out, gifts so vital for you, so important for your mission here, and for your enjoyment of life!

If you need additional motivation besides healing, the integration and happiness that results from self-examination, there is another very urgent reason for you to consider. The things you keep hidden from yourself in the murky subconscious become maps for the forces of negative alignment. They become a weapon to be wielded in the most cunning and devastating way, detailed instructions on how to cruelly trip you up, stall you, invade you, further wound you, to turn you around and scare/scar you off the path of life. They can only attack us through our own unexplored darkness, because it’s their natural element and unknown to us. The more you learn about who you really are, the more you uncover mask after mask and layer after layer, the more you fill those dark recesses within yourself with the healing light of awareness and consciousness, the less ammunition they have to hurt you with. The best way to stop them from attacking you and getting to you, is to transform and heal yourself.

When we consciously start out on the path of transformation it can seem very overwhelming. There seems like there is SO MUCH to heal and so little time. Just remember, you did not come here to fail, you came here with all the tools for succeeding within you. Your soul knows what you need to learn, in what order, and will send you external situations with the perfect timing for you to learn and grow internally. Each time you’re confronted with a circumstance that brings up familiar pain, dive with healing intention into your churning emotional depths. Express your feelings, then ask yourself where this pain is coming from? What lesson can you learn from this? How you can heal yourself and make yourself better? Shine the light of your awareness and attention through the storm and get to the core issue, the original cause. Fear can arise and make the process seem much bigger and difficult than it really is. Acknowledge and express the fear, letting it move through you, then simply release it, because it’s only temporary and you will remain, for YOU ARE ETERNAL. You are forever!
